windows 10. Xbox game bar can't sign in on social.

Several people seem to be having this issue with no answer as to how to fix it. It has made my purchase of games relying on this system to be quite annoying as I have no reliable way of playing with friends. I have never before had a problem that I could not fix with a simple google search but this one seems impossible.

Whenever I click sign in on the social window for the xbox game bar it blinks "signing in" and then nothing happens. No window pops up; nothing. I have tried all the usual suggestions. I tried everything in that thread with no luck. I tried uninstalling game bar using powershell but that does not seem to do anything as the game bar is still on my computer after attmepting it. Please fix this. I have a laptop where this works just fine so it is nothing wrong with the account.

Hi there!

Thank you for coming to the forums. I'd be happy to try and help.

Does it not allow you to drag it from the top banner of the game bar? Pressing the Windows Key + G will bring up the Game Bar so believe pressing it again should hide the game bar.

Based on what you have posted and the link associated with it, its seems that all possible troubleshooting steps are performed.

I would recommend that you report this issue to Xbox by following this guide: Provide feedback to Team Xbox | Xbox Support

Meanwhile, you may try to create a new Local user account for testing and see if issue persists on this local profile.

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support, make sure to set the user as administrator.
