Windows 10 UWP/Games not showing up in firewall list, can't add them to the firewall exception

Hello all, I've been trying to add my UWP games to my firewall list because now some games don't work online and tell me I need to change my firewall settings. The games themselves aren't listed in the add exception to firewall list, I've reinstalled still
nothing, when I launch the games on a fresh install there is no pop-up asking me about the firewall, I've reset my firewall settings to factory defaults still nothing.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having issues with games not being cleared to access online functions. So which games are giving your trouble? When you say UWP do you mean Universal Windows Platform
games? Have you ever been able to set games as exceptions on your Firewall list in the past and these games are just not showing up this time around? Please give us a few more details to determine how to best assist you.

Allow Minecraft launcher through the Firewall
Most frequently, Minecraft will be waiting on installation if it can't access the network. Add the Minecraft Launcher as an exception in the Windows Firewall settings to solve it.

On your PC, launch the Xbox app.
Select Settings > Network.
Under Network status, make sure Internet connection says Connected.

If you don’t have an Internet connection, you’ll have to fix that before continuing with any additional troubleshooting.

Solution 2: Make sure Windows Firewall is enabled and that the default policy is active

Windows Firewall is required to establish a Teredo IPsec connection. Even if you use additional security software and firewalls, most of these will use Windows Firewall as a base. If for some reason your Windows
Firewall has been disabled, you’ll have to enable it in order to use Xbox Live party chat and do multiplayer gaming.

To see if Windows Firewall is enabled:

Enter Windows Firewall in the search field on your toolbar (Cortana).
Select Windows Firewall from the search results.
On the left side of the window, select Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
If Turn off Windows Firewall is selected for your network type (public, private, or domain), select Turn on Windows Firewall, and then select OK.

You may need to restart your PC.

To see if the Windows Firewall default policy is enabled:

Right-click the Start icon, and then select Command Prompt (Admin).
Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
netsh advfirewall show currentprofile

If the following output is present, the default policy is active:

Could you possibly check to make sure your main pc isnt being blocked by the network firewall?

You posted a question for pc in the mostly xbox related forum, which is why you may find youll get xbox related answers here.

You may need to add the Ark application to the windows firewall
application exceptions list.

The problem for me was with the firewall (bitdefender).

Have to totally disabled it (since i wasn't able to make a rule for windows app .exe), then i was able to access game without disk message and continue installation.

If you can : make an exception rule on your firewall, if you can't' : disable it for the installation
