    Windows 10 Store wont let me reinstall game


    I own the Windows Store version of Sea of Thieves.

    Back in the day I installed this on my External HDD, also containing +/- about 2 TB of important data.

    Now my laptop has been reset a while back and Windows Store doesnt seem to recognize the installation anymore.

    My problem is as follows:

    If I select my External HDD for installation it just does nothing, stays on the 'Select a drive' screen. Probably cause it is already installed.

    I cant delete it, as windows doesnt know it is here, I cant tell it to remove it either.

    What can I do to fix this? I cant just reformat my External HDD to play 1 game.

    Well the games that i have on disc i cant download from the Microsoft store i dont own halo5,gta or black ops 3 digitally i only own them by disc those games are the only disc game i cant reinstall and yes i tried to remote app wAy after u mentioned it and it didnt solve the problem all my other disc games work besides those specific games

    I understand.

    Please let me know if you are able to download them from the store as I mentioned in my last reply. If that doesn't work, I'd highly suggest giving the Xbox mobile app another try.

    Ive tried every tip ive been givin try installing it offline never helped ive wiped my xbox never fixed it ive fallowed xbox support tips never fixed my problem and yes its only occurimg when it’s downloading the disc part and only disc games have done this ive tried everythingy xbox is advanced warfare edition so its from around november of 2014 no i dont have any storage devices connected to it my xbox is clean too no damages to it in practical perfect condition

    I’ll give that a try acutally acutally didnt know i could do that but when i tried to download it from the app it would even attempt to download it caused my xbox to lag if im using that correctly like everything was delayed after doing something so i shut my xbox off and reboot it

    Depending on the game's availability, you should be able to download it from the Microsoft Store even if you don't own it digitally. You just need to insert your disc, cancel the disc installation and look for your game in the store (It needs to match your disc's edition), your console should detect the disc's license and allow you to download it from the Microsoft Store instead.

    *Please do keep in mind that even if you download them from the store, you will still need their discs in order to play them.

    Also, may I ask what happened when you tried to download them from the Xbox mobile app?
