Windows 10 Game DVR "Something went wrong. Try again later."

Anyone have updates on this error by chance? I am aware that Microsoft is aware of the issue since I was with support for over 3 hours yesterday, but I was curious.

The error deals with the Windows 10 Game DVR in which it prevents you from recording or loading anything that deals with the Windows 10 Game DVR.

The DVR in the XBOX app doesn't work, see here: Imgur (pictures are not mine)

This problem seems it has been around for some time but I can't find a solution no matter what. I tried reinstalling the app with powershell but it didn't help. I don't have any other screen capture software installed.

How do I fix this? Thanks.

Thanks for the report. We're still investigating this issue, but if you have a chance, you could try downloading the Xbox App (Beta) to A.) See if that helps to fix the issue, or B.) Send us feedback after reproducing this so we have additional data to investigate.

When downloading the Xbox App (Beta) and trying to use the Windows 10 Game DVR, I still get the same error from before. Any ideas of when this may be fixed? Trying to record videos for my YouTube channel, but I can't because of this.

Hi AllOutJay, We don't have an update on when this may be fixed but to help with the investigation, please report this issue via Xbox App Beta using the "report a problem" so logs are included with the report for the developers to investigate.

Well, I've fixed it by resetting my Windows 10. However, not my videos don't save in 60FPS but now in 30FPS. ANy idea why?

 

Hi AllOutJay, please make sure your PC meets the following requirements:

• Have a video card capable of 1080p60 encode.

• Be running Windows insider build 14332 (current Fast ring build) or better.

• Have the latest version of the Xbox (Beta) App: 15.16.25000.0.

To enable this feature.

1. Launch the Xbox (Beta) App.

2. Navigate to Settings > GameDVR.

3. Set the Video Quality to Very High.
