There is a PS3 controller that basically swapped the left analog and the d-pad around.

Do you mean left on the d-pad or analog stick.

Agree about the button bindings. Swapping out potions is also a chore. If I want to move left D-pad to bottom D-pad, it's a 3-step process and requires a random inventory potion.
