Windows 10 Built-in Screen Recorder

Hello those in the office and community,

I'm having trouble with using the Game DVR on Windows 10. I've looked on the internet and apparently it records voice using the computer microphone. I tried recording some game play but it didn't record my voice. I have used other programs (such as Open
Broadcast Software) and it recorded my voice perfectly. I tried looking in the settings and I have my audio on full.

The DVR could now record microphone, but my device could still not record.

Please help me.

In windows 10 Surface Pro 4 the option Windows´+G only records screen but doesn't record sound even it's been activated.

 

Hello, start the app and go to Settings (it's the gear icon) and then proceed to the Game DVR tab.

From there, scroll down until you see a slider for "Record my microphone when I record game clips."

Also, go to the Windows 10 Start menu > Settings > Privacy > Microphone and make sure the Xbox app is allowed to use it.

 

Do make sure that you need to have the microphone the default communication device in windows to have it record only via microphone
