Windows 10 Apps on XBox One

It sure would be nice if Windows 10 Apps could be downloaded and run on the XBox One. I thought I read this was going to be functional this summer. Does anyone know the status on this? There are a few Apps on Windows 10 I would love to run on my XBox!

The most frustrating thing about the Xbox, has nothing to do with gaming(what I'd like to see, functionality-wise)

Phil Spencer did mention at the Windows 10 event that if someone wanted to, they could run Excel on the Xbox One so we'll see,

not sure on this being looked at by Xbox but if you wanted to try and rally support for this idea visit,

xbox.uservoice.com/.../363186--new-ideas and create a new idea for Microsoft to consider and get everyone you know to vote for it.

I'm sure once you have done it you can post it here and I for one will vote for it.

You can't change a gamertag into a previously owned one but you could sign in to the Windows 10 Xbox app with the old one though.

Let's manually update the controllers on your Windows 10 PC through the Xbox Accessories app. To proceed, kindly download the "Xbox Accessories" app from the
Windows Store. This is a separate app from the Xbox app. The app will enable you to update your controller. Refer to How
to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10 for the steps.

No, the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app is not compatible with Windows 10. However, Microsoft has a newer app called Xbox app that works on Windows 10 and provides similar features such as remote control, streaming, and social features for Xbox One consoles.
