Windows 10 $50 Promo Credit disappears without warning

I received a $50 promo credit for buying a new PC with Windows 10 and with no warning my credit "expired" (don't know why it would expire) and I can no longer use the remaining amount ($33). Was going to continue buying games but will have to look elsewhere
to buy them.

We bought a Xbox1S last Christmas with the promo of a $50 credit. I did not see there was a expiry date which has passed. I would think if microsoft is offering a $50 credit it would not have an expiry date. Is there some way to reset or receive a new credit?

redeem it. If your email isn't accurate, I suggest you
Change your Microsoft Account email address by following the steps listed in the support article. The only team that is able to look into your currency expiring is the phone or chat teams, which are contacted through our

When I purchased the game through microsoft.com, i was never give the option of checking out, or viewing my cart. The purchase happened in a modal window without an option to enter a promo code. Is it still possible to use my gift code on the purchase and
have my credit card credited for the amount charged?

you should be getting the remaining $10 credits within 4 weeks after you sign up for the 1 yr Gold

this was actually indicated at the bottom of the promo window and may have just been missed out
