Window 10 enterprise and xbox app

I understand that the xbox app only runs on windows 10 and 11, but to what I understand windows 10 enterprise could also run the xbox app. How do I get the xbox app working on my OS?

There is no IT dept. Its on my personal desktop at home. I understand its not traditionally done that way but I am the only one with admin privileges.

There are no disadvantages to running Windows 10 Enterprise. it's a more fully fledged version of Windows 10 than Home or even the Pro version and can run all the same applications that Home can run, including the Xbox App. Enterprise is more designed for business users, but it can still run games as long as you have full control of the OS.

However, unless this is your own personal PC/Laptop and you have full admin rights including control over the Group Policy, you probably won't be able to install the Xbox App. As long as no other third party like an I.T department has control over your machine, you can just install it from this link.

This will depend really on the app requirements, as it mentions that you need Windows 10 version 18362 or higher

But you can get sure about it by going on the Microsoft store app, if you don't have it you will need to install it, and then look for the Xbox app, ane in the system requirements section it will let you know if you can install it on your device

1. pro is perfect for gaming as that is the version I always use.

2. bitlocker is active on most pre built machines (pain in the rear at work when we do bios updates as this can sometimes trigger it or change the mainboard as it triggers too)

3. windows defender is on all versions of windows so I don't know why you would state this will interfere with gaming as I have never had any issues with it, the only bit of software from Microsoft that actually works properly.

Technically enterprise is a volume licence purchase, meaning it should only be purchased by a business, individuals aren't really supposed to be able to get it, definitely not cost effective.

Well with enterprise you are more locked down then normal windows

Are you sure you have the.permissions from your IT department ? It would be your workgroup policy you would download after you clear it with your it department

Enterprise and pro is meant for workstations not gaming and is meant to be a locked down version of Windows you aren't meant to do anything without the permission of the IT department

Things like bitlocker windows defender etc could interfere with gaming
