    Will Xbox ever expand the current number of controller inputs?


    With controllers adding more and more buttons and console hardware trying to keep up with the PC world I would love to see Xbox expand the number of controller inputs.

    Controllers like the Elite Series 2 are missing out on a HUGE opportunity with the back paddles not allowed to be additional inputs and instead mapped to the same ABXY, etc. configuration.

    Wish List:

    - Additional input for Push To Talk (Switch from Party Chat to Game Chat)

    - Mic Mute

    - Obviously additional functions for gameplay

    That are all really great ideas that would really expand our gameplay. As though we cannot take this suggestion directly to Microsoft here, what we can do is be present on Social Media and always comment on their posts about that! That way we can gather more people interested in it and have a strong base to be heard.

    Elite Controller Series 2 paddles not working on windows 11

    You clearly do not understand the problem that users are having. Do you play games with this controller?

    The paddles could be bound as separate buttons. Not just a duplicate controller input. They would register as a unique button that could then be used to expand the total number of buttons on the controller.

    That is no longer possible... the very reason people bought this controller was for the extra paddles... now they are worthless.

    It sounds like you never changed your input when you connected the analog HD cables on your xbox cable. Your TV should have each of its connections labeled, example: INPUT 1, INPUT 2 and so on. Verify the input number on your TV connection for the red, green
    and blue cables (your analog HD inputs) and change it, your screen should tell you which input your currently on.
