    I bought four x360 controllers with x-360 adapter not even year ago, and few days ago adapter stoped working(controlers are working with x-box),i searched all day in stores and (oficiall) sites and no one selling x360 adapters or even cables anymore(which
    i dont even want cause i need to connect 4 players across room) , only for xbox one. I really feel scamed by Microsoft and their hardware support policy, first this month i changed procesor to coffelake (no win 7 support) this took me day to reconfigure now
    this. (I'm starting to think that pluging microsoft adapter to unsuported by microsoft win 7 usb 3.1 killed my adapter just to punish me for not upgrading to win 10 :/ ) so my question Will x-box 360 controler work with x-box one windows adapter? Or i need
    to pay another 200$ to keep plaing couch games with friends )

    Thanks for getting back to us and letting us know the answer was provided. We will be locking this thread as the answer has been provided already. I would like to leave a quick Side Note as well. The Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver is currently available
    in third party stores, such as amazon and eBay, etc. as we no longer have the Gaming receiver in our Microsoft store.

    unfortunately xbox one adapter works only with xbox one controllers.

    Using Xbox live store via web

    I can verify that x-box one games will transfer from web to the x box one. The free game of the month will only work on the 360 there is no backwards compatibility feature on the x box one as of yet.

    Can I just say that these details are for X Box One and they are not the same for X Box 360. There are no options for technical support on X Box 360.
