Will we ever be able to play our purchased Indie games w/o online connection?

I have never understood why we need to be online to access our indie library. I know that online support for 360 isnt going to be a thing forever and while the vast majority of these games are pure garbage, there are some gems in there. Those gems are
the ones that I want to always have access to. Honestly, I expected this to be taken care of a long time ago. 90% of these games cost $1 and none of them have remastered versions available on Xbox One so, it's not like MS is going to give up this huge payday
by giving us offline capabilities for our indie titles

My friend purchased an external router. Once he did that, Xbox was able to connect w/o any issues on a campus network.

Hey there DCX192! Can you tell me specifically which Indie Games you got this error for? Also had you ever purchased, downloaded, and/or played Indie Games before this time? We are looking into this at the moment and I'll post back when we know anything

yes we get it, Indy games require a connection to LIVE to play them, but this is about when you can play it, and its still worth while a purchase especially at just 80 MSP for a very fun game.

And this is about the game....not the license limitations of Indy games

Hey,

Did you buy those games on a different account? They should work offline if they are used with the same account that bought them, but indie games won't.

If you try to start an Xbox LIVE Indie Games game from your Xbox 360 console without first connecting to Xbox LIVE, you will receive the message “You must be connected to Xbox LIVE to play this game.”

This requirement is part of our continued effort to provide family-safe content through the Indie Games site. When the game starts, the Xbox LIVE service determines whether any content has been removed and blocked from play because it was determined to be inappropriate.

Note If an Indie Games title is removed and blocked from play because of offensive content, Microsoft will contact users who purchased the game and issue refunds.
