    We don't have to be able to talk to the game chat while in a discord party, but it gets kind of annoying how PC players are able to talk in Discord and in the game at the same time. At this point what is the point of discord on xbox if its not going to be any different from xbox party chat. Playstation still doesn't have a discord integration, so if you are in a discord party they won't hear anything unless they join on their phone. Which also gets really annoying too.

    I understand you have a question about in game voice chat and discord voice chat.

    For now, we do not have that feature yet on the console since you will be using the party chat for discord to your Xbox. They cannot be mixed with each other unfortunately. There has also been no announcement yet regarding updating this in the future but feel free to provide suggestions on the Xbox idea hub.

    Just to talk to people on discord in dm's cause the discord feature only does it for server VC's not everything else and I was able to voice chat, the main purpose for like 3 years, I was able to voice chat on Microsoft edge browser on xbox one but for some reason yesterday, It broke and Ive tried everything but it just wont let me now

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting to discord through your Xbox. For us to further isolate your issue, kindly share the exact error message that you received.

    If you're connected to a Discord voice channel on your Xbox console, your party chat status will say “Discord” and the name of the voice channel that you're in. If you want to join or start an Xbox party chat, disconnect from the Discord voice channel so that you can switch over to game or party chat.
