Will Titanfall FAIL?

I hope it does well for the sole fact of the team behind it. The original IW team I feel got screwed over by Activision and would love for them to create something to topple the CoD monster. I know all my XB1 owning friends and I Will be on it Day One and
will be getting others into it if it is as fun as it seems. The way I see it, 10 years ago Halo got big, 5 years ago COD got big, now I'm hoping Titanfall will be the new hit.

not necessarily. We don't know for sure. If titanfall is a big hit, whats to stop MS from buying the franchise or respawn itself and keeping it an exclsuive? Thats what they did with halo, gears, etc.

 

Not sure also if EA will publish the next Respawn game/Titanfall 2,the EA partnership program doesn't exists anymore....Which leave an open door for Microsoft.

doubtful. respawn isn't happy with EA already. MS could publish it though,

[/quote]I can't tell the future either, but as it stands today assuming partnerships stay the same, it will appears EA will do the same as they did with the Mass Effect franchise. That's what I was referring to. Yes MS can choose to buy the whole IP and/or
Respawn, which could change the whole landscape of things.

As for EA not having a say, MS stated back in E3 that they have inked an extensive partnership with EA. Plus MS revealed that they are investing 1 billion into games for the One, I don't think EA was doing something that they didn't want to. I think, and
again this is me, that EA and MS came to a monetary agreement (obviously) and Titanfall is one of those titles in this partnership that both companies are a part of.

 

About the fail or succes of Titanfall. I think this can be answer by Respawn.

Will the game be fun and interresting and most of all how they will react with issues and complains ?

If they answers positively to this,it will be a big win for them ,for us.

your missing out a lot of key factors here. True nobody knows for sure, but 1st Respawn isn't part of EA. they signed a partnership agreement with EA taht only covers titanfall 1 and that was through a program that EA no longer has avaiable. Also IW was
upset at EA and its doubtfull they will use EA to publish any future game. EA did exactly what they want. they got a check from MS that made them money on titanfall just for funding it. Respawn is not part of EA in any way. Mass effect was different. MS funded
and published ME1 for bioware, but bioware owned the IP, then EA purchased bioware which made them the owners of the ME franchise. No way in hell repsawn gets purchased by EA. Most likelt titanfall 2 will be cross platform, but a lot can happen and MS could
see it as the next halo and throw money at it to make it theirs. we'll just have to wait and see. its really sad though how people are talking about a sequel to a game where the original isn't out yet lol.

 

Only reason EA are the pub on titanfall is coz respawn have 60 people on there team they needed someone with money hopefully either ms will buy them out or respawn will become there own like bungee did because ms once published bungie games and now ms publish
343i. What I wanna know is when will we see gameplay of titanfall on the xboxone? I am glad that the 360 version is being dev by a dif team means respawn can put more work into the PC and xboxone version.

 

It's not like Microsoft's first-party games are any better.

 

... about the DLC and microtransactions, I mean.

 

If MS buys Respawn, it will be a huge asset; no matter if TF is a success or a flop. The biggest question is whether it will remain an exclusive or not. If so, Halo may have a rival in the future, in a sense.

Titanfall has Spartan Kicks. I'm in. Enough said.
