Will the Series X output 1440p 120fps with MSI MAG271CQR Monitor

Will the Series X be able to output 1440p 120fps with Freesync onto my
MSI MAG271CQR 1440p 144Hz Monitor?

Hi

I researched online and it says HDMI 2.0 has the ability to output 1440p 120fps but you require HDMI 2.1 to output 4K 120fps

I saw on Reddit that it works on some monitors not all and wanted to know whether it worked on mine?

Hi Adarssh.

Unfortunately not. HDMI 2.0 only have a bandwidth of 18 Gbps. But it will support 1440p 60fps.

CAn i run xbox series x on 1440P 165mhz monito with HDMI 2.0? I will be able to use 144hz/120hz on 1440P?

Hello, thank you. I have a Dell s2417dg 1440p 144/165hz monitor was looking forward to using it for my Xbox Series X once it arrives for playing a few games at 120fps but i don't think that is possible since my monitor only supports HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.2.

And in the reviews it says its worked for people on both xbox series x and ps5 for 1440p 120hz, it gives me the option but when i click it, it just goes back to 60hz 1440p
