    Will the new Xbox app have all the features of the Xbox Console Companion?


    i keep getting messages on the console companion that the new Xbox app is going to be replacing it. The console companion has a feature that allows you to connect to your xbox one and input simple commands (A, B, X, Y, directionals, start, select, and
    home, as well as the ability to type into a text box in the app when prompted on the Xbox One). so far i have not seen such a feature on the new xbox app, and this is a feature i am completely unwilling to lose. when can i expect to see this feature ported
    to the new Xbox App?

    The console companion app has been discontinued so any new features will only be added to the Xbox app.

    the new xbox (Beta) app does not have the streaming feature. You need to keep using the companion app until the streaming feature is added to the new app.

    both apps still exist, and the console companion app will not go away until most or all of its features are included in the xbox app. as far as i am aware, your PC games never did show up in the xbox companion app. you can either download them from the
    windows store or the new xbox app if they are compatible (some games are not in the xbox app store).

    Since your new gamertag is showing on all apps and websites and not only on the companion app, it is probably just a cache issue.

    Try to reset the companion app:

    - Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox console companion > Advanced options > Reset.

    Restart your computer and sign in to it again to see if the old gamertag still shows on it.
