Will the Microsoft store and Xbox app on PC EVER have their damn download speeds fixed

It's been an issue for years, and you only need to do a quick google search to see thousands of posts across forums complaining at how **** it is, how it fluctuates constantly and never makes use of peoples actual download speeds.

I can download just fine on the Xbox itself, but trying to download AOE4 now on the PC and it's been downloading since this morning, to put it into context last time this happened I downloaded Subnautica which took hours on the XBOX app, then I decided I wanted mods, downloaded it on steam and it took around 20% of the time...

Anyone have a work around to get it going? I've tried command prompts, windows update speeds and nothing seems to work

But if these are all part of the pc game library the platform is just pc right?

I would be fine just using the xbox app but the download speed is just a joke. my internet speed is much faster than 7mbps. I've tried delivery optimisation and repairing the app... nothing works to improve the DL speed on the xbox app.

Again if I can just resume the download using the microsoft store this would also be a great option but it doesn't for some games.

Sea of Thieves on the microsoft store only has install on the xbox app option but it appears in the downloads on the microsoft store and from there I can pause the download in the app and then resume it in the store. But with Total War: Warhammer III, it doesn't even show up in downloads, it's on the store and gives the same message to install on the app but then I can't see it on my library in the store (even though it's listed on the store xD)

I ended up being able to fix this by downloading it from Microsoft Store, still not sure why it's not on Xbox App for PC.

Not able to install Forza Horizon 5 from the xbox app or microsoft store, the download speed is just too low even though my internet connection is working fine with a stable download and upload speed of 100mbps.

Please help!!

Try to clear the Microsoft Store cache

Press Windows Key + R to launch Run.
Enter wsreset.exe and hit Enter.
Once the reset process finished, restart your PC and then check if the Windows Store App works as it should.

The Xbox App depends on the Microsoft store App to run properly. So, if there is something wrong with the Store app, this would cause different problems including slow download speed.

In this case, resetting the Store cache can fix the problem, so make sure you do that by following the steps above.
