Will the 20% xbox game pass game purchase discount add up to additonal discounts on a game?

Hey everyone!

I want to get Sea of Thieves and i have xbox game pass. I was wondering whether the 20% in catalog game discount will add with the current discount (discount already expired on Sea of Thieves).

Example: Sea of Thieves Anniversary Edition is $49.99. A 50% discount is in place. The game is now $25. Will the 20% discount also apply since Sea of Thieves is an xbox game pass game?

From the Xbox Game Pass FAQ:

Xbox Game Pass members can save up to 20% on Xbox One games purchased from the existing catalog, as well as up to 10% off related game add-ons and consumables. Discounts are based on the Microsoft Store price and are tiered based on the game’s global launch
date. Between 31 and 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive up to 10% discount off the Microsoft Store price. After 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive up to a 20% discount. For game add-ons and consumables, Xbox Game Pass members
receive up to a 10% discount from the day the add on is released.

it works just like most retail places where you get the better of the lower discounts . So they cannot be combined

no it will not

If the game is on sale then the 20% discount is void. So if the game is 50% off in a sale you will only get that 50% you wouldnt get 70% off because your already a member. Offers cant be stacked.

I think that is not possible. The discounts are no stackables (that´s I believe, maybe try to ask to the MS support).
