Will signing into my xbox gamepass PC account erase my friend’s Starfield save data?

My friend plays Starfield on Xbox Gamepass PC and I’m staying with them for a while and have no access to my own PC. I, too, have xbox gamepass PC and was wondering if I signed into my xbox account on their PC to play Starfield, would that erase their save data or would it be safe to do? I don’t want to risk them losing hours of gameplay but they and myself want me to play the game while I’m staying with them. Just unsure if it will risk their save.

Switching accounts shouldn't erase the saved data. Their saved data and progress will be backed up and synced to the cloud anyway, so if this does happen it can be easily restored the next time they sign back in.

deleting old saves games wont help.... sorry we need a better solution than that... i have this issue since Starfield ...

cant save game on FC 2024 too and all of bethesda game.

if that can help, i was able to install Starfield on my PC to retreive alot of saved games data that was not available on my xbox game save...

How can I play my saved games from when I played Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Xbox, to the Kindgom Come for Xbox Gamepass on PC. Is it possible to get my game save data from console to PC for this game?

My issues are all on PC, using the Gamepass. It seems that since I started my first file on Cloud Gaming it will not initialize save storage on PC.

I've uninstalled the Xbox App, Xbox Gaming Service, Starfield, and install locations around 6 times since yesterday morning to no avail.

I finally just bought the game and downloaded it standalone from a provider other than Xbox and it works fine.
