    Will resetting my Xbox after checking keep games and apps will it delete my game data?
    My Xbox keeps lagging and freezing and having trouble launching games and logging in and I was wondering if I reset it after clicking keep games and apps if it will delete my game data and delete anything important?

    Xbox One reset problem

    I had to reset my Xbox One today, Thinking it'll make things run easier after that. Before I resetted it I chose "Keep my games & apps". After the reset I went to look at my games and everything except 2 days were deleted. I had about 20 games on my console.
    I can't contact xbox live support due to it being the weekend but I am very dissapointed. They might as well have only "delete everything" when resetting the xbox, since "keep my games & apps" delete everything as well. Anyone else ever have this problem?
    Feeling pissed off.

    I have already tried that. Twice. Manually deleting my account and using the reset but keep my apps and games on my xbox.

    Hello there,

    Selecting "Reset and keep my games and apps" will not delete your save data as long as your console was connected to a network while you were playing. After resetting your console, your save data will come back the next time you launch that game.

    My game is stuck saying "installing game services. This may take a minute" still doesn't work after an hour.

    Try this procedure:
    Select Console Information. Select Reset console. On the Reset your console? screen, select Reset and keep my games and apps. This option will reset the operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

    There is also the option to factory restore the Xbox to remove any corrupted data but be sure to select the option to keep your games and apps.

    Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. This will save you from downloading or reinstalling
    the large game files. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps and save Reset and remove everything
    as a last resort.
