Will online "Free to Play"games ever stop requiring Xbox Live gold?

As you guys might know free to play games such as Fortnite, Warframe and others required Xbox Live Gold to play Online. The Question is why do we did to pay for this in the First place? The games are Free to play. Fortnite is free to play on PS4, PC,
and nintendo switch don't need any special conditions to play. Guys just make these games free to play without needing gold. I can promise you that the console would be much more entertaining.

Xbox 360 only freezes when on xbox live.

Hello, when I am playing games online my Xbox will stop ever now and then and sometimes will require a power down and restarted, any help or information would be nice.

Pretty sure it is free and doesn't require Xbox Live Gold to play it online.

You never know. Once upon a time Gold was required to use Netflix but they've changed it. Fingers crossed.

 

Live is required for multiplayer games. This helps cover the costs if the servers used to run xbox live and pay for the innovation ti make the service better. One of the benefits of live gold is getting the free games every month. I enjoy getting free
games and they are normally games I've never played.
