Will my Xbox restart my download if it loses power?

yes, settings/power/full shutdown.

yes once the power is restored and the console started the download should start from where it left off, there is a small possibility of corruption if the power is removed without cleanly shutting down first though.

Thanks for the replies, but none of them have worked. My Xbox doesn't exactly lose power, I think it goes into some sort of sleep. The power button is lit, but when I turn my console back on, like I said, it just restarts.
