Will my saved liveries tranfer to a new steam purchase of FH5?

Nothing will transfer between Steam and the Windows store, only between Windows Store and Xbox. You will have to start over, as the save systems are incompatible

As the Independent Advisor has noted (with their copy'pasting the information from the Forza website), Steam and Xbox are separate saves...apparently it is too difficult to integrate into the system (it's the same with FH5). I am not entirely surprised as they just crowbarred Steam into FH4 without much thought into it...FH5 is, essentially, FH4 with a makeover so it's no surprise there either. Maybe FH6 might finally allow it.

Unfortunately, far as I know, there is no way to botch a MS Store save into a Steam save.

Close FH5, Close Steam through the Taskmanager, and then open Steam, and from Steam open FH5, then you have to log in with "Sign in with new account" and put your login info in. Then it lets you into the game.

Importing is not automatic, you have to do it manually one by one from the livery list of FH4. Also, if your livery contains content created by other players, you will not be able to import that data. If the livery you want to import into FH5 uses a vinyl group created by another player, you will need to remove it beforehand in FH4.
