Will my refund go to my debit card or be turned into microsoft credits?

It'll go back to whatever payment method you used. If you used your card, it'll go to your card. If you used credits, it'll go back as credits.

Refunds are given to the payment method that was used, so if it was a gift card, then the refund goes back to the Microsoft account the card was redeemed on. If it was a credit/debit card, then the money goes back on the card.

It's because the code is for a subscription so you need to add a credit/debit card.

Once you've redeemed the code you can turn off auto renewal & remove the credit/debit card if you want.

You cant get refunds on giftcards but you can get the money back on a debit/credit card, or your account.

How do i get it back onto my debit/credit account.

I am able to see the charge on my Microsoft account. It was paid through my PayPal account that is linked to a debit and credit card.

My financial institution is pursuing a refund. I would like to notify Microsoft that this purchase was made by fraudulent means.
