Xbox Series X is due for release towards the end of this year.

Most if not all Xbox One games will work on the new Series X. Also, all the games that are currently BC for the Xbox One will also work on the Series X. This will mean all of your current games you can play on your Xbox, both discs and digital downloads
will work.

For the digital downloads all you need is the same account you are using now.

They're making it so you buy once, it plays on all Xbox systems. So you should be safe to buy something on the One and be able to play it on the Series X.

I think it served two purposes. For one, it's a very affordable option for those that can't afford a standard Xbox One. Additionally, it's a bit of a trial run for future all digital consoles. I have a hunch that Project Scarlett will be all digital, so
it may be laying the groundwork for that one.

I want every game one day backwards compatible but at the moment no games are being added until Project Scarlett
