Will Microsoft continue to support Xbox original and 360 games on the series x?

Yes Microsoft will continue to support Backwards compatibility with Xbox original and xbox 360 games, with the line up of thousands more available to play on the X Series.

Certain games will be backwards compatible. They have spent hours upon hours to work on as many backwards compatible games as possible. My assumption is that if they are working on the current xbox one, they will work on the series X.

I think my question was misunderstood i was talking about adding even more to the list i know the ones that are already there will be supported

It will depend on the developer, if those games are on BC list, no doubt they will be supported.

The reason that the program was put on hiatus for Xbox One was due to the fact they had to get all the current OG and 360 games currently backwards compatible, along with every Xbox One game, to run on the new console.

The program will most likely resume a few months after the release of Xbox Series X.
