Will Karaoke ever see the light on Xbox One?

3 years ago, Karaoke was released on Xbox 360 and was a really fun game when it came to using avatars for singing on stage. After the servers closed last year, I really wish that Karaoke would one day make it to Xbox One. However, avatars are slowly retiring
and that may never happen. Perhaps Microsoft planned to phase out the avatars very soon. Bad luck for me, though.

I kind of liked the avatars and the games that incorporated them. Always got a kick out of watching my avatar parachute to safety from a biplane in Snoopy Flying Ace. I think the new Pure Poker would be a lot less dry if avatars replaced the player photo
cards.

I read that Phil Spencer had said that the avatars are going to be coming back in the future. While I never played an avatar game, in my opinion avatars did add a little more "life" to the Xbox 360 dashboard with the cool themes

 

i'm sure there will be, i recall reading a while back that they were release a karaoke game in Japan, but it was a timed rental, so you pay a few dollars and get to play for a few hours kind of thing, no idea if that is going to be released outside of Japan.

A new Rock Band is on the way and I think this will be a must-have for Xbox One owners. Even if you aren't huge into guitar hero/rock band genre, I think this will be a great party game and if you purchased any old songs from the previous games you will
be able to transfer them for free.

I assume this means the entire Rock Band catalogue will be available. For me personally, I love to download my favorite songs + the songs the game comes with and sing my heart out.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but I think this will be a great alternative and I'm excited to see what Harmonix does with the XB1...and I'm not even a big fan of this genre myself...can barely play medium.

 

Screw Rock Band. I don't really care for rock music.

Karaoke? For real? I mean actual Karaoke. A few drinks and a few friends? = HILARIOUS!

 

So it seems that Karaoke Xbox 360 closed due to poor sales. That would explain why avatars are dying and that Karaoke app was a commercial failure.
