    Will I get a new warranty when replacing an Xbox elite series 2 controller


    I bought one of the original elite series 2 controllers. It is now broken and the warranty has expired. I can start a new order through the device coverage section and it recommends purchasing a new controller for $80. Does this controller come with a full new warranty or is it only adding 3 more months? I read that when you send in your controller for repairs it guarantees at least 3 months of warranty, but since this is a replacement the policy is unclear. (not really a replacement since they said I can keep the broken one)

    Warranties cover a like for like replacement if required under that warranty so as far as I know, yes, if you send an Elite series 2 in for replacement you will receive an Elite series 2 back.

    Hi there.

    The warranty for the Elite Series 2 controller in the US is 90 days from the day of purchase. After this period, the controller is considered out of warranty and is therefore not eligible for a replacement. If you took out extended warranty from the retailer
    then this might be an option for you.

    If not, I suspect $99 for a replacement is still cheaper than buying a new out from Amazon.

    Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam

    my standard Xbox one S white controller is still going strong after a good year so far. i also have a standard sky blue Xbox one controller which still going strong. there were some elite series 2 controllers which had a manufacturing problem but Xbox are
    replacing those in warranty if they have the problem. overall the elite series 2 is a good controller.

    if you purchase from a third party source i would recommend getting cover with it so if anything goes wrong you can replace it for free.
