Will having your xbox hardwired use less internet data than wifi?

Even if you hardwired to the router, you will never get 100% of that speed. Microsoft servers only get so much bandwidth on their end as well. So many factors. If you are using wifi you will probably get less than you would with a cable.

If you have no WiFi but you have your phone, a possibility is to use your phone as a Hotspot to your Xbox so you use your phone data rather than the home internet. Obviously this depends on your data allowance. You will also need a digital copy installed
onto your console to play without the disc though im afraid.

Get your computer and phone off your WiFi, your killing your bandwidth. Hardwire your box and get a password for your internet.

Sometimes it depends on what type of internet connection you are using to access the link, hardwired or wifi. Did you try power cycling the modem, or turning the wifi on and off?

Wifi sucks.

Wire it. Also your max internet speed is unused without a wire, I get less than half my rated speed through wifi
