Will having a full storage on the Xbox one hurt gameplay?

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently inquiring about the performance on your console.

Having a full storage shouldn't damage your consoles performance, as there is some designated space left internally in order for you device to not experience set backs.

I would recommend using a
power cycle on your console first as this would help alleviate most gameplay issues. If this is happening across only one game, however, there could be a different source that could be causing this.

It shouldn't be full (there are 500GB of storage on the console). Highlight one of the games and click the Start button on the controller to manage it to see if you can get the download going again.

If that doesn't work then hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it restarts to see if that helps.

It does hurt the game the tags are very distracting to gameplay.

You can now use an external hard drive.

I found a solution. Apparently the error was happening, because the Xbox Pass Client always choosed the wrong storage place (in my case a full one, that was defined in "Settings > System > Storage", although you get asked by the client at the beginning
of the Installation and I choosed the empty one, he still choosed the full one (stupid **** Tool). So, you have to go to "Settings > System > Storage" and look if the storage place you choosed still has enough place for the game you want to Install.
