Will game pass ruin my gold membership?

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The bottom of the page has several common questions that you can click on and find the answer to. One of the questions is, "What happens to my Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass memberships once I upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate."
It explains that switching from Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate converts your subscription time completely to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. You will receive the converted amount of months plus the promotional amount of months up to a
total of 36 months.

However, if you redeem prepaid codes for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass while you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the system will only convert a portion of the code. So the initial change to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will convert all of your time, but
any additional codes that are added will only add a portion of the subscription time. We hope this information helps!

Ultimate converts your gold into ultimate and adds the 3 months onto what you already have, giving you Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for 6 months.

If you redeem any gold subscription cards after you get Ultimate, then you will get less time. There is a conversion ratio here

I currently have about three months of xbox live gold paid, so what happens if i try to do the 3 months of game pass ultimate for $1? Will it screw me over and convert my gold to less time as ultimate? When the trial is up, if i don’t want to continue,
can i even go back to just standard live gold, or is it going to try to convert every prepaid gold card i activate to ultimate? Im wanting some answers here before i try it, just don’t want to ruin my gold membership for good.

It will say your gold is expired but it will be fine because gpu is gold

If you want to go back to just your regular Xbox Live Gold, then you will have to let your Ultimate membership expire and that way you can purchase the regular membership again. Otherwise, if you have Ultimate it will just keep on converting all your other
subscriptions into it.
