Will changing the Xbox account email make me lose access to other personal accounts I own ?

Actually, if they are using stuff through Microsoft with their email, you cannot change this to your own email because that will have them lose access to the account with their own email. If it is their Microsoft account on your Xbox account being used, you would really need to continue using their email so you can still access your Xbox account unless they do not use that Microsoft email anymore, then you can change it to your own. You cannot transfer the data to another Microsoft account as well.

So to be clear, this other user didn't gain access to your account, they just used your email address for their own GT? Does this person know you personally to be able to do that? Do they have access to this email account (read, send, etc)?

if your email is a microsoft email address it can't be unlinked from the Xbox account.

removing it, even after adding an alias, will permanently delete the email account and you will lose access to anything else associated with it.

if your son creates his own account using a new email address he will still have access to the games and subscriptions purchased on the account linked to your email if you designate his Xbox as Home Xbox for that account.

he will lose all his achievements and game progress but the only alternative would be to let him continue using the account linked to your email.
