    Will Call of Duty WWII support 4k and HDR on the Xbox One X?


    On the Xbox One X Enhanced Games list Call of Duty WWII does not have 4k and HDR by it. Is this because it is still in development or is it because the developer does not support it. Have heard rumors that it would, but I would like
    a definite answer before I pre-order the new Xbox and Call of Duty.

    Black Screen for games when I turn on HDMI UHD Color

    I have a Samsung 4K UHD HDR TV - model number UN49MU7000. When I turn on the HDMI UHD Color for the port my Xbox One X is connected to, all of my games won't get past the first or second screen of my games (FIFA18, Call of Duty WWII, Destiny 2) without getting
    a Black Screen. If I turn that setting off, then I can play the game.

    Hello Snake,

    Thanks for bringing the question to us. There are a few things that could cause this. First being the TV is not one of the recommended HDR for 4k that the Xbox support. For example if the TV is not HDR it will only support certain aspects of 4k. To check
    on 4K and compatibility I will provide you with a few links to look over and troubleshoot the 4K.

    Xbox One X HDR in 1080p

    You'll be able to set the output of the Xbox One X to 1080p, and if a game supports HDR then the console will use it, I mean the Xbox One S supports HDR, so no reason why the Xbox One X would only allow it at 4K.
    Thanks, I hope that is the case. The S will not allow HDR unless output is set to 4K. Not to tout the PS4 Pro but it told me my projector would not support HDR in 4K but offered up "2k HDR" as an option. I would hope the X was as elegant.

    Will xbox one support 1080p HDR like PS4 does?

    Of course Xbox One X supports 4K and HDR for both compatible video content and games, but Xbox One S should support 4K video content and HDR color palettes for games. The original first-gen Xbox One unfortunately will not support either.
