    Will a UK X Box One S and Original X Box work in the US


    'm planning on moving to the USA when I get my K1 visa will my UK X Box work in America, do I just need to get an American power cable or do I need a converter. The website says "The Xbox One S and Xbox
    One X have an internal power supply that works in all regions worldwide." is this correct?

    I got a response on the ask a gamer and Nicky R said yes but realised he said X Box One X. Is the the same for X Box One S. Also what about the original X Box the old school black and green one. Will I need a converter for that one? Now I just need to find
    a Sega forum to see if my Sega Megadrive II will work in USA.

    Maybe I will leave the Original X Box behind and sell it before I move. Shame the games weren't backwards compatible with the X Box One S. Will miss my Buffy the Vampire Slayer and old school LMA Manager

    Hi NikkiF99uk,

    As stated from the support article https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/power/about-original-xbox-one-power-supply,
    the Xbox One S and Xbox One X have an internal power supply that will work in all regions worldwide. You would just need to get a US power cable for the Xbox One that would plug into a standard US power outlet.

    The original Xbox One has an external power supply so you would need to get one from the US for that to work. They aren't produced anymore by Microsoft, so you would have to find a pre-owned power unit. I can't give you a definitive answer about the original
    Xbox but I'm assuming you would need to find a US power cable for that as well.
