And post back your details in full (the bits that are in bold on that post) so that people may help, can you also let us know how the Xboxes are physically connected wireless or wired, if wired what are they wired to the router or to a PC or something else,
as much details as possible really

It may not be the April preview, the last update to the update for the April preview was 1.6g, although I not been on my xbox today so could have come through this morning.

are you in the beta preview program ?

How is the older console connected to LIVE? Are you using a wireless or wired connection? If wired, you may want to try that with the new console, to see if that works. In order to troubleshoot the connection, you'll need to answer the bold questions

here.

This is now getting worse, it now makes no difference if the controllers are wired or not, the connection will still fail followed immediately by a dc from xbox live. I'm on the preview program and I know of one friend who has the same issue (also on the
preview program) I can still watch movies and Netflix but gaming is impossible. I have also been looking up getting a PS4 now

(I really don't want to, been on xbox for over 9 years now)

Thanks for coming to the forums. Sounds like you are having quite the internet issues. First off are you wired or wireless? If you are wireless can you try a wired connection. Also may want to try the

cant connect to Xbox live troubleshooter. There may be an issue with your router communicating outside the house. If you continue to have issues you may want to give your ISP(internet service provider) a call to see if there are any issues.
