Wifi wont connect to my Xbox series S

It has been working fine for over a year, system updated and all of a sudden it wont even pick up the wifi connection, yet everything else can connect fine. When I test the connection it says hardware issue yet its barely even a year old!

yes i have done all the above..if i have it connected via ethernet it is fne but when i go to use the wifi it wont work,,says console is connected but when i try to access my games says a connection error,,, does it on my series s and my xbox one s .. and a friends series x is doing it

Hello,

I have tried to reset however when I click “keep apps and games” it says I cannot do so without an internet connection and I do not want to risk loosing game data.

I also looked into device repair however when it costs almost the same as the device itself it’s quite off putting. Thank you for your help regardless

If possible, try connecting the console to the internet with an Ethernet cable, and reset it that way. If that doesn't work, sadly, the last resort would be a repair or a new console.

If nothing has helped so far, I would advise factory resetting your console:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
Select Reset and keep my games & apps

If that doesn't help, it's likely your Xbox will need to be repaired. You can request a repair from this page: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/select-device-for-repair
