Wifi is faster than ethernet on Xbox Series X?!

Hey guys. Me and my friend are having the issue with our new consoles. We bought the Xbox Series X to play games in high quality and speed, but not only playing is important, downloading them is important too. So we pluged in our consoles to internet and saw some strange things. Download speed when wired is 1/3 of the speed when wireless. We tried everything, changing cables, routers, reconfiguring those routers, opening ports, changing nat types, reseting consoles and nothing really helps. First of all it’s annoying and we want to be sure that it’s not the problem from our side and besides that on Wi-Fi ms is too high for multiplayer or coop. So we need to trade download speed for higher ms or what? Are you guys experiencing the same issue? Did you even heard about that? In case that you think to blame everything on internet hardware I will tell you that in both of the cases we tested out several devices, includind PCs and Laptops (which gave us expected results) to be sure that our internet speed is normal and meets the performance that we are subscribed to our provider. Please help us out.

    :)

Wifi is faster than ethernet on Xbox Series X?!

When I’m playing games in multiplayer when wired I never have a lag or something similar while wireless caused cancer to my nerves. For example in Fifa when I play with my friends I’m constantly laging and seeing the high ms icon on top. There is no difference if I play online friendlies (which I think is hosted locally who sends the invitation) or when I play 2v2 coop (which is hosted on EA servers). I will repeat that this is not the case when wired. As you can tell there is no reason not to use wired connection with this information, but when it comes to download speeds wired is slower than snail trying to climb skyscraper. For example I can download Forza Horizon 4 when wireless in 3 hours, but it takes 9 when wired. I tested out this on several games and on PC as well. On PC on the same cable Forza Horizon 4 took 3 hours and several minutes (here comes the fast SSD and velocity architecture I think)
Fair enough, just thought I'd mention it.

It is strange that Wired is slower than Wi-Fi given, ordinarily, it is the opposite way round, namely Wi-Fi being slower. So, Wi-Fi is faster for downloading etc but results in you getting lag....wired gives no lag but has massively reduced download speeds. It's weird

Ok now I’m little bit more calm when I hear me and my friend are not only ones and this is somewhat common problem. But to be honest I can’t understand how can wireless be faster than the wired connection. Everything in the world and physics is making me think that this isn’t normal.

Wifi is faster than ethernet on Xbox Series X?!

All of my devices do this. So I have given up on cables as they are always slower. I think it may be a router WIFI speed versus actual LAN port abilities.

No one could ever know for sure but some devices have truncated ports especially TVs.

So don't feel bad as all my XBOXES, TVs, BD players do this.

Since my laptop does a similar thing I have to assume that part of the cause is the wireless router.

Cable company said I could hook up one device direct to the cable modem for testing.

Ok let’s assume that I have a bad wiring. My friend with the direct connection (without cables in the walls) is having the same exact issue. In this case I don’t think that cables are problem in here. I already adapted myself on this slow speeds but to be honest the fact that Wi-Fi is faster than wired connection is pissing me off. If the Wi-Fi speeds were slow as well I’d never post about this topic anywhere. But now I want your help guys to find the reason of all of this.
