    Wi-fi internet connection issues


    I've been using my wireless Xbox 360 for well over a year with no connection issues. Now out of the blue, it can't connect to the network (failed) and says the internet is blocked (signal strength is 100%). I've checked two other Xbox 360's in the house and the same issue. I've followed the troubleshooting suggestions about resetting/rebooting, etc and contacted our internet provided (they say the connection into the house is fine), but they still won't connect. Other wireless devices in the house work fine (cell phones, computer), it just seems to be the Xboxes that have been kicked off. Nothing has changed from one day to the next - worked fine on Thursday, won't connect on Friday. Any suggestions?

    No it just happened while my son was playing titan fall. It has never been modified.

    Sorry to hear it. If the internet is blocked then it may be that the consoles have been banned from Live. I would like to suggest (if possible) that you try a completely different console (360 or Xbox One) if you have a friend who has one and can bring it over have them set it up and log in on your account. If you can access the internet then you're more than likely banned on those consoles.

    Do you know if they've been modded at any point in the past? If so that may be why this has happened.

    Maybe the wireless card is fried then. Try an ethernet cable and see if that works.

    Are you using a LAN cable or connecting via Wi-Fi?

    Please, if you know how to do it, make a Wi-Fi hotspot router on your phone and connect your console to that connection.

    That way we can isolate the issue, by testing another internet connection, using your mobile data plan.

    I recommend that you try to connect to the Internet using an Ethernet cable instead of a Wi-Fi connection. If the above is not possible I recommend you try connecting to an alternate Wi-Fi network to see if the error persists.
