why?

i had xbox live on my xbox 360 and it was free month of games. it was Metal Gear Solid on the Xbox One, then I stood on it and then I said YES! but after I bought the Xbox One, there was not when I checked. why? I did something wrong with the Xbox
360 then?

First run though

It had taken sometime but I finished the game however, I notice I failed to go through any of Lebo-Sako sectors LoL now I will need to go back and pick up 8 more achievements I failed to pick during first run through
other whys I had fun with the game. I also published a map called Beachwood part land and part water should be fun I spent more than 3 hours making the thing first hour was understanding how map making works the other two slapping on stuff.

when you purchase a free "Games With Gold" game on xbox 360, you get the license permanently, even if your xbox live gold subscription expires.

on xbox one, you can also access all of your free purchased Games With Gold (they are all Backwards Compatible), however you need to have an active xbox live gold subscription to be able to play them.

if you are currently not subscribed to a gold account, then all you would have to do is re-subscribe and you will have access to any of the Games With Gold games you have previously purchased.

I have the same account and xbox gold now on Xbox One and had it for quite some time now

 

if you have gold, then you should be able to access any of the Games with Gold purchased by that account.

sorry, i was actually wrong when i said all the GWG are Backwards Compatible. at some point they said all Future GWG will be BC.

if you purchased Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on 360 when it was free (october 2015), then you will only be able to play that on xbox 360, because it is not Backwards Compatible.

if you purchased Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on xbox one when it was free (august 2015), then you will only be able to play that on xbox one.

even though they are the same game, they technically are considered different, and you can even earn all 1000 GS for the achievements twice because of this.

 

i buy it for xbox one and it said that I could play it on the Xbox One. after I got Xbox One there was not Metal Gear Solid V. i must buy it now... that is bad, i dont know what's wrong!

MGS V has never been free with xbox live gold on Xbox One. The free one was Ground Zeros, and that is like another game (it is like the prologue of phantom pain). Maybe you think it was the full game? Sorry, but it wasn´t :/

 

Does this mean that games offered to be played on X1 as long as your have Gold membership - must catch and download the game the very week it is offered?

As I read some sales info for Gold, I got impression New Games Every Week - be sure to check it out. kind of thing.

On Playstation you can just add your game to your library and download when you feel you are about to play it.

And all games are for keeps as well.

No. You can download the game and cancel the installation. Then you will have your game in ready to install always. The thing is that if you do not have xbox live gold, you cant play them, just like in playstation.

There are offers with xbox live gold every week, discounts. Thats why they say that you make sure to check that out.

And the Xbox One games that are free with gold can be downloaded during an entire month, while the xbox 360 only the half of a month.

also even if you don't own an xbox one, you can just go to xbox.com and click the Free button to add it to your download queue. then when you get an xbox one and sign in with that gamertag, they should all be waiting as long as you have an active gold subscription.
the OP seems to be saying he purchased an xbox one game thru the 360, is that correct? i do remember them saying they added that feature at some point, but i am not certain exactly how that works.
