WHY XBOX WHY!!?? (Preloading sucks on the east coast)

OK, here's my thought.

If my buddy runs to gamestop for his physical copy of destiny, he can download, patch and play as soon as it finishes (which, at 18 gigs, won't take 3 hours to DL). I live on the East coast (represent...I guess? lol) But when I, an avid Xbox fan, decides
to try out this new-fangled idea of digital preloading, I get bitten in the *** by a stamp that says "HA! you don't get to play until the west coast meanders on over to midnight. Suck it east coast!" (paraphrased)

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why this is necessary, because as a loyal customer, this kinda
*** me off in the most polite way possible. If I knew this limitation was going to be imposed on the east coast gamers I wouldn't have even considered preloading an option because it has no benefit to me whatsoever.

I guess what I'm trying to say to you Xbox, is this:

Dear Xbox,

(From this point on you shall read this letter in Christopher Walken's voice)

You, have stolen my dreams. You promised, eh that Christmas would be starting at 12:01, but then you delayed my Christmas, so that all of our great United States could open our presents together...OH! You are a cruel bakery that produces sweet cakes, frosted
with lies, and sprinkled with shattered hopes, and glazed with tears. You are a small business start-up somewhere in Seattle that finally invented a high quality, consumer friendly, anti-global warming jet-pack,eh which provides transportation, dispenses
pudding, and saves the rainforest simultaneously, but sadly have said unto those who may find themselves on the East Coast that they must wait for Seattle's midnight for its world saving release. YOU COULD BE SAVING MY WORLD AT MIDNIGHT EDT XBOX. But instead
you choose to let me swing in the wind, clothes drenched in tears and Mountain Dew.

Why, Why, Why!!!!!!!!

I thought I was the only one, I live on the East coast of the US yet 8/10 of my matches are with people from Mexico or from the south west US. It's been happening to me since the first DLC was released as well by this time I've gotten used to it but it still
would be nice to play with more people from my area.

So any news why i cant connect to xbox live or do the update. The website says xbox live has been fixed. im on the east coast.. anyone has their xbox live running??

 

Im in Europe and should have been able to play over 2 hrs ago and all it says is unavailable..I feel your pain
