Microsoft has no presence i. Iran, which is a prequisite for Xbox being sold and services provided

Microsoft cannot legally provide you with these services because they have no legal ability to do so, as the companies that own the games and movies they sell also are not there.

And don't forget that government licensing and approval also have to be achieved before they can do any of the above.

Iran is not a supported Xbox region, and attempting to access Microsoft services which they are not legally allowed to provide you with can result in account and hardware bans.

Microsoft, like Netflix and many other online services can be sued for allowing you to do so

This goes for any country that is not officially supported by Xbox

And you need data centers which still require government approval

When the first real smart phones came out which were the iPhone's (blackberry and such were more pda with email access with limited apps)
