Why would they not keep my xbox live after i already paid for it after taking my card off?

Alright I had them remove my card off my account cause it wouldnt let me remove it unless i canceled the subscription. Then it says I have live until the february 8th but on my xbox it saying i dont got xbox live anymore when i already paid for this months.
Also they charged me twice last month for xbox live so does that mean they owe for two months now?

Xbox Stealing My Money

I am a good combination of confused and infuriated right now. Xbox credited my account with a month of gold before receiving any payment from me, after a no longer working credit card was set up for a One Month Trial, and now I'm expected to pay 9.99 for
a month of Live that should have never worked in the first place... Now my 12 month pre-paid subscription is suspended..

Not sure why they would EVER credit an account with Xbox Live Gold without the person having paid for it before hand...

 

XBL stealing my money

I switched debit cards last July when my subscription was due. But for some reason they didn't charge my new card nor could I make them. So I decided I would get xbox live again at a later date, so I could spend my money on more important things.

Since I was unable to use xbox live, I figured that I was just not subscribed. When i called last week they said they actually gave me August and September as a "renewal account" where they say I could use xbox live gold while they waited for payment. Well,
I couldn't actually use xbox live like they say I could (this is where I thought I was not subscribed). I would know if i couldn't use XBL...It's sitting right in front of me.

So now that I actually have the money to pay for it, I gave it another go and paid over the Microsoft website. After paying, my account still didn't show up as gold, so I called XBL support and they wasted a ton of my cell minutes just talking to several
people. They called me back saying that they would only give me 10 months because they gave me 2 free months already. Which is
[mod removed]. After speaking with the supervisor (who was very rude) she did not budge in giving me what I paid for. 12 months. So I asked her to refund my money, she wouldn't. Because I paid after the payment date, WHAT PAYMENT DATE?! I am
not under contract, nor did I sign anything saying that I wanted them to renew by charging my card without permission in the first place. I told them that if they didn't give me 12 months, or a refund I would be filing a dispute with the bank, and sell my
xbox.

To sum it up, they told me I got 2 free months (which I didn't) so they are giving me a 10 month subscription instead of the 12 I paid for.

I am still currently in dispute, and my xbox is on craigslist.

Does anybody know how to get in contact with Bill?

 

Based on what you had posted here you may have had Xbox Live Gold up until Feb 8th. Most likely, it was in the middle of the monthly subscription and they may have canceled the sub and removed the pending charge.

The other issue about being charged twice for Xbox Live is again an issue when the system tries to charge your card for a month and there's either not enough funds or the bank doesn't process the charge. Meanwhile your subscription remains active but the
charge is pending. Then you get into the next month of Xbox Live gold and the charge for the last month and the next month go through when there's funds on the card.

Xbox Support should be able to see when your billing date is and see the pending and attempted charges and then finally the successful charge for those two previous months.
