Why would I not be able to access my friends to play on Fortnite? I can play on other games...

Please, try these steps:

In Fortnite, select the Fortnite menu icon.

Change the Game Privacy settings to Friends Only or Public.

Its fortnite so the updates should be similar to others i would think and i play the game almost everyday with my friends

The problem is only happening to Fortnite on one Xbox console. I can play other online games like apex on the same console and I can play Fortnite on the same network on a different Xbox console.

I have deleted and readded my account to the Xbox multiple times with no issues but the Fortnite issue persists.

I can play any other game on the Xbox including other online games.

I have never received any enforcement actions from Xbox or Fortnite or Microsoft on my account and I am able to use my account to play Fortnite on another Xbox console.

I really enjoy the fallout shelter game. I play fortnite to play with friends other wise i would never play it really. Just started playing warframe. Really like it so far

How come nobody complains about the miriad of other free to play games, why should fortnite be treated any different. Why should you get access to the game features the rest have to pay for.

How do you think the developers of the games listed here https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/free-to-play would feel about fortnite getting special treatment.
