Why won't Xbox let racing wheels have full functions like LED lights?

Some of us that do a lot of sim racing have invested a lot of money into racing wheel setups. But the only thing is Xbox will not let these setups have full function. I have a steering wheel that is supposed to have LED rev and shift lights and a numbered gear indicator. If I had it connected to a PC, all of those lights and features would be working. But Xbox does not allow those functions to work so my wheel stays dark.

I thought once the Series X was announced that finally Xbox would see the error of their ways and allow wheels to function. But that's not the case and I can't understand why. All it should take would be an update to allow racing wheels LED lights to function.

I'm begging Xbox to fix this issue.

I’m sorry but I’ve explained how accessories work on Xbox work. There are many wheels and advanced accessories going all the way back to Steel Battalion on the original Xbox. Complex accessories are being supported in Flight Simulator right now.

For whatever reason they’re not interested in doing what needs to be done. If you have an accessory you’re not mapping 1:1 to a controller, like a Rock Band guitar, you need to make that driver and work with Playground and other developers to incorporate it

The creators of your steering wheel must create an Xbox driver to support their functions and then lobby game makers to include it with their game. Driver support must be baked into each individual game.

So they’re the ones you need to request to get it done.

Not according to the wheel manufacturers. In my correspondence with Fanatec they say there is a limitation in the Xbox software that doesn't allow functions like thumb rotators and LED lights to work and Xbox is aware of it and needs to change it.

i looked all over for guides, searching "xbox 360 racing wheel off center", "xbox 360 racing wheel off center fix", "xbox 360 racing wheel recalibrate", "xbox 360 racing wheel calibrate", "xbox 360 racing wheel won't center".

every search pulled up almost the exact same results and nothing i found helped me or was a guide i could follow, do you have any links or a better query?

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Sorry to hear about the force feedback function not working. From what I've been able to find, this seems to be an issue with the wrw02.

Are you using the power cord along with the battery pack? if so, try removing the battery pack and only using the power cord. Also, is the green LED light lit up when connected to the wheel? Note - the LED light should turn on even if the 360 is off.
