    Why won't the Xbox app on Android work properly?


    I have been having issues with the Xbox app for android for several months, I would get notifications and messages and party invites to come through but the app itself would never load. And if I tried to quick reply to the message notifications they wouldn't actually send my replies. So the other day I got sick of not being able to use the app at all so I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would fix it, it didn't. I can't even log in to the app on my phone. I click the log in button and nothing happens, I click the set up console button it asks for a code from the console. Problem is my console is already set up, and I don't know how to find a set up code to maybe try logging into the app that way. I'm not about to reset my console to try that theory though.

    Thank you for the update, Connor. As part of our isolation, please try to use your mobile data and turn off your Wi-Fi. Re-launch the Xbox app and see if you'll be able to connect. If it's still not working, try it on a different device just for the sake of our troubleshooting.

    I tried that before I ever posted about this issue. I've force stopped it, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, cleared all the cached data, and cleared all storage data and it doesn't go any farther than try to load the sign in stuff after I click sign in and it never loads anything I don't get any error messages. Nothing.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues using your Xbox app on your android device. I understand that you reinstalled it but you can no longer sign in. Is there any error message whenever you sign in? Please clear your Xbox App's data, follow these instructions:

    Open your device's Settings, go to Apps or Apps & notifications, select the Xbox App, then tap Storage and choose Clear data and Clear data. Once done, try logging in again using the same email that you use in your Xbox.

    What kind of phone? Currently it's only available in the Xbox beta app on Android. If you have an iphone it won't work.

    hi, i'm also from iran and suffer exactly this problem too. BUT surprisingly in my android phone just when I connect to a US proxy it works and connects to "Xbox live" service with android Xbox app, otherwise throw an error!!!

    So I try any kind of setting for proxy on my PC and get no answer just error code: 0x8015Dc0B.

    I think there is a ban from Microsoft itself, but I don't know why proxying traffic on PC won't work except on android.
