Why won't the achievement unlock?

I recently met the requirements to an achievement(Shopaholic on Tomb raider) buy it did not unlock.

It even shows in game that I have completed it and have all the achievements.

I have tried reinstalling the game, redownloading my profile, clearing the blu ray cache, doing a hard reset and power cycling my console.

This is so annoying. It took so long to do it.

Sorry to hear about the issue. This is not the situation I want you to be in.

May I know if this is only happening to the achievements of that game? How about the others?

If it's not longer than 72 hours yet after completing your achievements, I suggest to wait as sometimes it could take up to 72 hours before the achievements are synchronized and validated through the Xbox network.

You may try the other suggested steps from the thread below. If nothing's working, you may file a bug and report it to the Xbox team. All the links and instructions are on the thread.

Have you tried contacting the game's support group to see if they have any ideas why it won't unlock that achievement?

It wasn't possible on 360 and it won't be possible on XB1. Why? Achievement tampering.

I'm afraid you'll have to start over.

If you join someone's game, who is using cheats, it prohibits you from earning achievements. Some of the achievements require another to get done and if you were to start on them with someone using cheats, you won't get the achievement for them... hence,
why I won't play co-op with someone using cheats.

Besides... Saints Row 2 is easy enough to play, even on Hardcore difficulty,
without the need to use cheats.

Sure. If you get caught modding your Gamerscore they'll reset ALL
of your Achievements and you won't be able to re-earn them.

There is no legitimate way to have an individual achievement or group of achievements reset.
