    Why won’t remote play load?


    I have updated my Xbox and remote, I have restarted both Xbox and phone, network connections are fine and remote play test says it’ll work. It loads the ship and Xbox symbol but then goes black and says “Disconnected from cloud gaming session” “something went wrong please try again later”

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with remote play. I understand that you're getting “Disconnected from cloud gaming session” error.

    To ensure that your router is not experiencing any issues or bugs that may cause some websites or ports to be inaccessible, please do a power cycle by turning off the device, pulling it out of the power outlet for 50 seconds before turning it back on.

    Once it boots up and regains internet access, please try to access remote play.

    Hello, Ty S. I'm Arturo, and I'll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry today.

    I would like to let you know that most schools or institutions Wi-Fi networks block the access to certain websites, addresses, etc.

    So, it's not an issue with your PC, and it's more a restriction of the Wi-Fi network the institution previously set.

    If possible, you could try testing if the remote play feature works when connecting your laptop to a different Wi-Fi network, like a mobile hotspot.

    Windows 11 won't connect to Xbox series x.

    That’s the thing neither will work on remote casting it’s just a black screen on the Xbox app and it won’t appear when I press windows + K for remote display so neither will work.
