    Why won’t Network settings open on the Xbox one


    When I go on settings and select network settings it tells me give it an other try and if it keeps happening enter 0x90070490 at Xbox.com/errorhelp it has been happening since yesterday and when I enter the code it is unknown.

    Can someone help me

    My Xbox Series S won’t open the network settings.

    Hi,

    I'm Tim, an Independent Advisor here and a Microsoft user like you. I don't work for Microsoft and do not have access to any of your data on their system.

    When trying to reset the console, are you using the procedure of Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps?

    If so, it maybe that you’ll need to temporary move the Xbox in order to be connected to your router via cable to complete.

    In your situation it looks like the NAT problem. There is 3 different type NAT. Strict, Modern and open. Check your NAT type. And if you have STRICT or moderate type NAT then there may be some problems with seeing your friend and invite him to game.

    > SETTINGS > NETWORK

    With a MODERATE NAT type, you’re able to chat and play multiplayer games with some people; however, you might not be able to hear or play with others, and normally you won’t be chosen as the host of a match.

    With a STRICT NAT type, you’re only able to play multiplayer games with people who have an OPEN NAT type. You can’t be chosen as the host of a match.

    It general it must be open for connecting seamlessly to network’s .

    Settings on your Xbox One and open Network Settings, then click the Advanced Settings option, and then finally, IP Settings

    What does your Xbox tell you when you run a network test (found in the settings)?

    What's also your NAT status? You should be getting one of these three: Open, Moderate, Strict. If it's not "Open", this can present some connectivity problems, and you'll need to adjust your router settings and open ports to get everything working proper.
