    Why won't my Xbox Wireless Controller turn on all of a sudden?


    We got a new Xbox Series S back in February and the controller that came with it was working very well.. Until recently. For some reason, the controller now won't turn on instantly and no matter the power source, batteries and USB cable, it still won't turn on. When it does turn on, it doesn't stay on for long and will turn off by itself after a while. We swapped batteries and cables multiple times, but nothing seems to fix the issue, not even updating the controller worked. I'm stumped and unsure what to do now.

    Considering the nature of your controller's problem and the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far, it would be best to check your controller's warranty status and, if possible, request a controller replacement.

    To check your controller's warranty and start a service order:

    - Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices
    - Sign in to your Microsoft account.
    - Click on "Register Device"
    - Enter your controller's serial number and all required information.

    * The serial number can be found in the battery compartment.

    - Once registered, its warranty status will be displayed next to the device's name.
    - If you'd like to see the available service options for your device, please click on "See details" and then select "Start order" from the "Device Coverage" section.

    Xbox one wireless controller right stick has become too sensitive.

    It is acting up for elite and reg. wireless controllers. I have changed the setting in the system. That is helping a little.

    Why all of a sudden did it change????

    Hi,

    The Xbox 360 wireless controllers can't be turned into wired ones with a Play & Charge. This is because even when wired, 360 wireless controllers remain wireless. The cable only provides power, no data is sent.

    This is also why they don't appear in game controllers but the generic controller does.

    To use a wireless 360 controller on Windows requires a gaming receiver. And the receiver must be for 360 controllers, the official receiver for Xbox One/Series controllers won't work.

    Just as a question. Is it possible my wireless adapter is broken? I turned on my Xbox and the light was solid red and it said there were wireless networks with no signal strength, and then when I unplug it and plug it back in the light turns solid green

    Xbox one controller disconnects when I lose connection to the internet

    I know why my internet keeps disconnecting. What im saying is my controller disconnects when i lose connection. It will reconnect but on rare occasions it will not turn back on. Dont worry about the wifi part. All I need to know is if the controllers are
    supposed to drop conneection and then reconnect when the xbox all of a sudden loses internet connection. I dont lose control of the wifi.
