Why won't my xbox avatar picture appear in my xbox profile?

if its a custom avatar picture then it can take up to 72 hours to change as it has to be vetted first, if you change it or upload again in the 72 hour period it will restart the clock and you go to the back of the queue.

Anyway please try the solutions below, please.

Solution 1:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

After removing the account follow the procedure below.

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Now add your account again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

You need to take a picture of your Xbox avatar within the avatar editor. To do this, you can just click on your name here in the forums. That will take you to your Xbox.com account page. Choose Edit My Avatar and then Gamer Picture from the menu within the
avatar editor. You can choose a background color and make your avatar do expressions. Click on Take a Picture. You can take up to three pictures. Select the one you like and choose save. It can take a day for the new avatar picture to appear next to your gamertag
but it will appear! =)
